This ‘Poulet Jaune’ is instantly recognisable by its beautiful yellow colour, giving it a distinctive and premium image. The maize-fed chicken isn’t a specific breed, but it is carefully selected for optimal yellow colouring through its diet. The feed is 100% plant-based, consisting mainly of maize, complemented by specific natural minerals that work together to enhance the yellow colour of the skin and meat.

External quality agencies monitor the feed composition to ensure the chickens always consume the required amount of maize.

The slaughter age is around 6 to 7 weeks.

Maize-fed chicken is available as a whole bird or in portions.
