Soup chicken

Our soup chickens come from breeding hens that produce hatching eggs. These chickens are kept in barns with littered floors next to the nest boxes, allowing them to scratch and forage in the loose bedding. In these barns, you’ll also find a number of roosters, responsible for fertilising the hatching eggs.

The breeding hens are always kept in top condition, with strong legs and a tailored diet to ensure the best quality hatching eggs.

Because of their age, breeding hens develop a good layer of fat and firm, robust meat. This makes them perfect for adding extra rich flavour to broths and other dishes.
