Label Rouge is a French quality mark that guarantees superior quality. Chickens produced under the Label Rouge label are called "Poulets Fermiers". While this concept has existed for over 60 years, it perfectly fits today’s trends in animal welfare, sustainable development, health, and the environment.

The Label Rouge criteria are clearly defined, and it’s the combination of these standards that ensures small-scale poultry farms follow a unique production method. The result: Label Rouge poultry offers an exceptional taste.

Parameters

  • Carefully selected slow-growing breeds.
  • Limited number of chickens per farm, with a minimum outdoor space of 2 m² per bird.
  • Feed is 100% plant-based, with at least 75% consisting of grains, supplemented with plant-based proteins such as peas or soy.
  • These chickens are at least 81 days old, resulting in firm, flavourful meat.
